Marc Udink has worked as a lawyer since the mid-eighties. First in Rotterdam, then in The Hague. He is co-founder of Udink & De Jong and has a major influence on the firm's way of giving advice to clients and on its market position. An advice should facilitate and should not impede, the decision making process of an entrepreneur. Advice should present a solution not a problem.

His practice has developed into  nationally and internationally oriented advisory practice in the areas of banking law, financing and restructuring. He is also regulary appointed by the Courts as receiver and trustee in suspension of payments and bankruptcy proceedings. Marc is a member of several boards of directors, supervisory boards and boards of commissioners of public and private institutions. Both as a commissioner and as a lawyer Marc has become a sought-after board room advisor. Here his knowledge of and experience in national and international, public and private matters proves itself.

Marc is Secretary General (CEO) of INSOL-Europe, the European organization of institutions that are publicly and privately involved in insolvency issues.

Furthermore Marc acts as "background trustee" and as advisor of (quasi) Government institutions and advises Parliament and Government departments on fraud prevention. Marc is a frequent speaker at workshops, seminars and conferences. Marc Udink is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), Institute for Commissioners, Global Insolvency American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOLAD, VNO_NCW, NCD and Fellow of the Foundation of the American Bar.

Marc Udink is the Secretary General for INSOl Europe (mcudink@insoleurope.org) and as such responsible for the organization and its more recent initiatives.

Marc Udink is also a member of the Dutch Institute of Directors, member of the board of several (public) companies and public Institutes. He is also a member of INSOLAD, IBA (SBL and Committee J). Marc Udink advises the Dutch parliament and the government on fraud prevention and is a frequent speaker on such topics at seminars and workshops. Marc Udink is a Fellow of the Foundation for the American Bar Association and an executive board member of ILN (www.iln.com)

Marc Udink is chairman of the board of Porcelyne Fles NV - a public company - (www.royaldelft.com),  and the state owned Archeologisch Diensten Centrum NV (www.archeologie.nl). On behalf of the Minister for Culture Marc Udink is on the board of the National Natural Museum "Naturalis" (www.naturalis.nl).
